Strategic Objectives

MISSION STATEMENT

Ski Country UniServ Unit, affiliated with CEA and NEA, advocates for the interests of education employees and promotes quality education by facilitating regional interaction, serving as a resource to locals, and connecting members and locals to the broader organization.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE I: Increase membership among all eligible educational employees within the Unit.

STRATEGY A: Continue to develop year round membership plans for each local.

STRATEGY B: Encourage locals to participate in or offer at least two trainings each year.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE II: Increase member participation in the Association.

STRATEGY A: Build communications among and with local associations.

STRATEGY B: Continue to expand political knowledge and involvement.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE III: Support locals in their bargaining efforts.

STRATEGY A: Provide appropriate bargaining training which reflects the local's goals and capabilities.

STRATEGY B: Establish guidelines for providing direct UniServ services.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE IV: Lead efforts that support quality teaching and learning for all students.

STRATEGY A: Promote the implementation of existing CEA and NEA programs (for example: AEW and Read Across America).

STRATEGY B: Encourage each local to assess and, if necessary, revise staff evaluation plans.
